A Home of Our Own: Welcome to the SOSGI Platform

Michael & Maneesha · Founders, SOS Global Indians · July 7, 2026

If you have ever posted a question in our Facebook community at 2 a.m. — about a visa interview, a sick parent, an apartment falling through — you know what this community is. Someone always answers. Someone always shows up. That spirit is why SOS Global Indians exists.

But a scrolling feed was never built for what we actually do. The housing lead that could help a family gets buried in hours. The trusted CPA recommendation gets asked, and answered, fifty separate times. The travel companion request for aging parents disappears just when someone flying the same route might have seen it.

So we built this platform — a home of our own. A place where listings are organized and searchable, where trusted Indian businesses are easy to find, where resources for immigration, healthcare, elder care and crisis support live permanently instead of vanishing down a timeline.

Everything here is free for community members: post listings, add your business, join the community feed, ask for help. That will not change. The platform sustains itself through sponsors and featured placements from businesses that serve our community — never by charging a family in need.

We are starting with our pilot in Collin County, Texas, and expanding city by city. If you are reading this in the first weeks: you are an early member of something we believe will matter for Indians across America. Post something. Recommend someone. Welcome home.
